Miriam Mockett is a watercolorist and oil painter based in Anchorage, Alaska. She specializes in illustration and commission work and is currently working on illustrating a book on homemaking. Miriam’s art practice centers around creating art for everyday consumers and collectors to enjoy and cherish.

Miriam is currently finishing her BFA and will graduate in the spring of 2026. Once her BFA is completed she will pursue an MFA starting in 2027. During her BFA degree Miriam exhibited her work in 4 Juried Student art shows, winning Best Watercolor in 2024, and several Professor selected exhibitions. She is currently preparing for her first solo exhibition, set to be displayed in the spring of 2026.
